Update: How to Use Syphon Shield With MTN Bis on Android

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
This is for all those Android users either rooted or <a href="http://www.concord.ng/" target="_blank">unrooted</a> who are still finding it difficult to use <a href="http://ift.tt/1Ofu44M" target="_blank">MTN BIS</a> on Android via SS or Psiphon. I know some of you are already enjoying it, but for the benefit of those who are still finding it difficult to use. I'm going to give you a simple configuration and that should work just fine for you.<a href="https://draft.blogger.com/null" id="more" name="more"></a> 
 
Note that<a href="http://www.concord.ng/" target="_blank"> MTN BIS</a> or<a href="http://www.concord.ng/" target="_blank"> BBLited</a> is not unlimited regardless of the software you are using. It is capped and if you are going to download heavy files, it's recommended you use the daily plan. Hence and straight to the tutorial. 
 
Download the updated Psiphon handler called Sypon Shield here 
Open the downloaded syphon shield and configure it as seen below

Hit the save button and choose Tunnel the whole device option. Choose any country of your choice to connect... 
 
Click on the gear icon and use the below configuration on the next window that will open 
Tick "connect through an HTTP" 
Tick "Use system network setting" 
tick use the following settings 
Host address, use 10.199.212.2 
Port, use 8080 
 
Go back to your Sypon homepage and hit the connect button. Your MTN BIS should now connect and let your surfing begin.

ATK is pretty simple. Open this tool and take a look at the running applications list? Uncheck some apps you don’t want to kill (such as Advanced Task Killer and some system apps) Tap the button ‘Kill selected apps’, it will kill all applications checked.

 What is ignore list/ignore? 
Ignore list is for you to ignore some app you don’t want to kill. If you long press on the app listed on the main screen of ATK, the menu will pop up, then you can select ‘Ignore’, the application would be moved to ignore list. When you tap ‘Kill selected apps’, it won’t be killed any more. 
 
What is Auto Kill? 
If you want to kill apps automatically you need to choose one of auto-kill level – Safe: Only kill the apps aren’t running but still consume memory. 
– Aggressive: Kill the apps running background and apps aren’t running. 
– Crazy: All apps except for apps you are using with.

Also, lots of users have been having issue with it powering all their apps on PC hence this simple guide on how to make it power all your systems apps. <a id="more" name="more"></a>

Follow The Steps Below 
Step 1: connect your system to the internet either through your phone wifi hotspot or a modem(or whatever means you connect your mtn bis plan to system with) 
 
Step 2: then navigate to your "network and sharing center" 
 
Step3: look for internet options and click on it (its usually by the bottom left coner of the screen) 
 
Step4: When you click on it a pop up menu displays, then click on connections tab 
Step5: You will see "LAN SETTINGS" click on it 
Step 6: A new pop up menu will display, You will see proxy server, click on "use proxy server for LAN...." Then in the adress bar input 127.0.0.1 port:8080 
 
You whole system will be connected with all your apps using your Simple server. 
 
NB: dont forget to untick the lan settings incase your wanna use other network to surf.....

Though we have been waiting for their 4G LTE Launch in Nigeria and alot of things seems to be keeping them from starting.<a id="more" name="more"></a> 
 
Well, according to what <a href="http://ift.tt/1OzAus5" target="_blank">Punch reported</a>, that NATCOM firm would offer <a href="http://ift.tt/1Q4dy93" target="_blank">4G/LTE</a> services to address 3G customers’ needs for mobile broadband services. Not just that but on launching, they'll make available to the country 4,000 jobs.

I must say a big thanks to an anonymous who is keeping etisalat Magic IP Thread alive by updating it with Active IP's. Who ever it is, I really appreciate your effort and may God be with you too. 
 
Below are more current working Magic IP's. Use any of the IP's with its Port to connect and surf unlimited with N0.0 via Psiphon and Etisalat sim. 
Note: This IP's take time to connect, like 2 to 5mins. So, you need to exercise patient before it shows connected. Once the Psiphon connected, you will feel the speed, especially when streaming and downloading.

I can see that lots of Infinix Hot 2 users still find it difficult to upgrade their Smartphone to latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the initial posted method. Below is the simple method for you to flash/install the Android 6.0 on your Infinix Hot 2 via SP Flash Tool.

Note: You can now update your Hot2 via OTA. It is advisable you find out if the update is already available on your phone so that you don’t go through all these long processes. Also Note: This is not an official firmware from Infinix. It is a copy of Marshmallow Rom dumped by Hovatek Team to create its scattered file, which makes flashing possible via SP Flash Tool.

Steps to Install VCOM Drivers 
1. Extract the downloaded Vcom Drivers. 
2. Go to Device Manager » click Action » click Add Legacy Hardware 
3. Under welcome to add new hardware, click next 
4. Select, Advanced Option and click next 
5. Select "show all devices" and click next. 
6. Click have disk 
7. Browse to your Vcom Drivers extracted folder and select the driver setup up file and click 
open, then ok. 
8. Select Mediatek preloader usb vcom driver and click next. 
 
To Flash Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Infinix Hot 2 X510 Via SP Flash Tool 
<div class="MsoNormal">
1. Extract the Android 6.0 Dump Rom file which you downloaded from the above link to the desktop screen of your computer or create a folder and extract to it.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
2. Now, power off your device, and remove the battery.</div>
3. Navigate to the SP Flash Tool folder and double click on it 
4. Launch the SP flash tool.exe 
5. Once it is launched, hit the Scatter-loading button. Navigate to the Infinix Hot 2 rom folder and select the scatter file MT6580_Android_scatter.txt "

6. Hit the "Download' button in SP Flash Tool to begin the flashing process</div>

7. Connect your Smartphone immediately to the computer with a USB without battery, and press Volume Down or up key, so it would be detected easily by your computer.</div>

8. The Flashing process would be in progress, and once the Flashing is complete you will see a green circle confirming... With Download OK</div>

Simple as that. Boot your Infinix Hot 2 devices and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will smile to your on the device! 
 
Likely Question: Will I be able to flash future OTA updates after flashing this ROMDump? 
Answer: Yes, you will. The ROMDump is not rooted and is also running on stock recovery. It passed the System Check test, see proof below:

How to Upgrade Infinix Hot 2 X510 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow Using SP Flash Tool

Infinix recently pushed Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA updates out for all Infinix hot 2 (Android One) users few weeks ago but not all has been able to updates theirs. And I'm sure you are not ready to wait till infinity for the OTA to get to you. 
 
If you couldn't use the first method provided to upgrade your Infinix Hot2 to Android 6.0, then you can go ahead using this guide.

 Note: This is not an official firmware from Infinix. Team Hovatek dumped the firmware of their copy of the Infinix Hot 2 X510 which had been successfully upgraded to Marshmallow (Android 6.0) using the above guide. 
 
Requirements 
SP Flashtool (Download <a href="http://ift.tt/1SISMMN" target="_blank">here</a>) 
Android 6.0 Rom Dump (Download <a href="http://ift.tt/1OpJ4Mn" target="_blank">here</a>) 
VComm Driver (Download <a href="http://ift.tt/1QmgKK0" target="_blank">here</a>) 
 
How to Flash Android 6.0 to Infinix Hot 2 X510 Using SP Flash Tool 
==>Make sure you've successfully downloaded Infinix Hot2 x510 Android 6.0 dump rom provided by Team Hovatek from the above link 
==>Make sure you have successfully installed VCom Driver on your PC or follow the guide below to install Vcom driver 
 
==>INSTALLING VCOM DRIVER 
1. Extract the downloaded vcom driver. 
2. Go to device manager>click action>click add legacy hardware 
3. Under welcome to add new hardware click next 
4. Select advanced option and click next 
5. Select ‘show all devices’ and click next. 
6. Click have disk 
7. Browse to your vcom extracted folder and select the driver setup up file and click 
open, then ok. 
8. Select Mediatek preloader usb vcom driver and click next. 
 
 
==>SP Flashtool 
1. Navigate to the SP flash tool folder 
2. Run the SP flash tool.exe as admin 
3. Click on scatter loading. Navigate to the Infinix Hot 2 rom folder and select the scatter file MT6580_Android_scatter.txt " 
4.At the left hand side just below the 'scatter loading' panel click on 'download now' then change it to 'firmware upgrade'

 5. Switch off your Phone (make sure it has about 90% charge) and connect it to your PC using usb cord 
6. A progress bar should start running. The phone 
will be upgraded on booting-Make sure you don’t tamper with usb at this point. 
The final result after about 5-10 min should be like this if all went well

7. After that confirmation close flash tool. Disconnect phone and switch it on. It will take some minutes before the setup is complete. 
 
Finally, go to Settings >> About to confirm that your Infinix Hot 2 X510 is now running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. 
 
FAQ 
Q: Will I be able to flash future OTA updates after flashing this ROMDump? 
 
Ans: Yes, you will. The ROMDump is not rooted and is also running on stock recovery. It passed the System Check test, see proof below:
